Robot Vacuum Solution
The Geehy smart robot vacuum uses the high-performance APM32F407 series MCU in its main control module, which boasts high frequency, performance, integration, and rich peripheral resources. Additionally, the control module incorporates the low-power GW8811 Bluetooth 4.2 chip to efficiently map and clean homes.
High Performance and Efficient Core
The APM32F407 is based on an Arm® Cortex®-M4F core with a 168MHz frequency, 16-channel DMA, CRC calculation module, and FPU, providing the MCU with powerful computing processing capabilities, faster signal speeds, and higher accuracy. Its 1MB Flash capacity can store a large amount of map data, which helps customers to save hardware costs. With 192+4KB SRAM, the MCU meets the robot vacuum's software operation requirements. The built-in 12-bit high-speed ADC and high-precision PWM improve the robot vacuum's sensitivity and accuracy, enabling real-time processing of instructions and accurate route planning.
Robust Peripherals Offer Flexibility for Function Expansion
The APM32F407 offers a variety of digital peripherals, including RTC, PWM, SDIO, CAN, U(S)ART, I2C, SPI, USB_OTG, Ethernet, and DCI, which provide rich signal connection functions and permit the establishment of comprehensive automatic control functions. The RTC supports wake-up time appointments, while the dual PWM outputs can control different DC motors for efficient vacuum cleaning.
Moreover, the communication module uses the GW8811 low-power Bluetooth 4.2 chip, which features an integrated 2.4GHz RF transceiver, Flash 512KB, maximum transmit power up to +4dBm, and receive sensitivity of -94dBm. The chip supports real-time communication between external Bluetooth devices and the internal MCU via integrated UART, I2C, SPI, PWM, and other rich digital interfaces, enabling remote control of the robot vacuum switch. The module's built-in Balun and high-efficiency DC-DC buck converter effectively reduce the module size and product costs, and its 48-bit encryption key and support for AES encryption ensure secure product communication.
Low-Power Consumption Delivers Long-Lasting Standby
The APM32F407 MCU is designed to consume low power, supporting three ultra-low power consumption modes: sleep, stop, and standby, which significantly extends battery life and enables long standby times, meeting the low-power application requirements of battery-powered products. Additionally, the GW8811 offers two modes: sleep and deep sleep. The deep sleep mode boasts an incredibly low current of 1uA, which is automatically activated when the main control is in standby mode, further optimizing power consumption.
As the IoT and smart home industry continues to rapidly evolve, Geehy is committed to introducing more high-performance, high-reliability, and cost-effective general-purpose and special-purpose MCUs to help build an intelligent ecosystem that can be used in many smart-home applications.
