APM32F103 Series MCU Micro Receipt Printer Solution

March 27, 2020 Consumer Electronics

The sudden attack of COVID-19 in 2020 not only changes people's lifestyle and consumption habits but also affects all walks of life. The offline catering industry is extremely sluggish, but the online ordering business is very prosperous, and the market demand for the micro receipt printer used to print lists is also growing.

A micro receipt printer is an important tool for the information output. It has the advantages of small size, low noise, clear printing, and fast printing speed, and is widely used in logistics, medical treatment, telecommunications, catering, POS terminals, and banking systems.

With the characteristics of low power, high performance, and large storage capacity, Geehy APM32F103 Series MCU can effectively improve the printing performance, reduce the cost and meet the functional requirements of micro receipt printers.

•  APM32F103 adopts Arm® Cortex®-M3 core, the maximum operating frequency is 96MHz, the Flash is up to 512Kbytes, and SRAM is up to 128Kbytes. It supports FPU, provides higher system processing capability, and meets the requirements of receipt printer for higher signal processing speed and accuracy.

•  It is configured with an enhanced external memory controller EMMC, supports CF card, SRAM, PSRAM, NOR, NAND, and parallel LCD interfaces, and is compatible with 8080/6800 mode, which helps the receipt printer to realize diversified applications such as the Bluetooth connection and computer communication. It supports an external expansion of SDRAM, can improve the dynamic and static memory cache, and greatly improve the overall application performance of the receipt printer at a low-power budget.

•  It integrates I2C, SPI, I2S, SDIO, USB, CAN, and other rich peripheral interfaces, and supports the simultaneous use of USB and CAN interfaces. There are up to 5 USART (supporting ISO7816, Lin, IrDA interfaces, and modulation and demodulation control), which help to enhance the external communication capability of the receipt printer. There are three 12-bit A/D converters with 1us conversion time (up to 21 channels), 12-channel DMA controllers, up to 112 fast I/O ports, and a wide range of digital and analog interfaces, which are conducive to accelerating printing speed and improving the work efficiency. It has three power modes: operation, standby, and sleep, which can fully meet the low-power requirements of receipt printers.

APM32F103 series MCU is not only well used in micro receipt printers, but also widely used in manipulators, floor sweepers, unmanned aerial vehicles, smart wearable equipment, interphone, and other product fields.
