Hazardous Substance Control

Geehy strictly adheres to environmental standards, policies, and regulations in China and globally, maintaining close communication with upstream supply chains and downstream customers. We continuously monitor product compliance, conducts annual hazardous substance testing, and ensures products comply with green environmental regulations.

•  RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances): An EU directive that limits the use of specific hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment to safeguard human health and the environment.

•  REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals)A European regulation that governs the safe use and management of chemicals. It includes control of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the supply chain.

•  TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act): A U.S. regulation overseeing chemical safety for substances introduced into the U.S. market.

•  California Proposition 65: Also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, this regulation mandates that businesses provide warnings for products containing chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm.

•  POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants): Toxic organic compounds that resist environmental degradation, accumulate in ecosystems, and pose long-term health and environmental risks due to their persistence and bioaccumulation potential.

•  HalogensA group of reactive elements, fluorine (F), chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br), iodine (I), astatine (At), and tennessine (Ts), are used in various industrial applications. While effective in many chemical processes, certain halogenated compounds require regulation due to potential toxicity and environmental impact.

PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons): The main 18 PAH compounds include naphthalene, acenaphthylene, acenaphthene, fluorene, phenanthrene, anthracene, fluoranthene, pyrene, benzo[a]anthracene, chrysene, benzo[b]fluoranthene, benzo[k]fluoranthene, benzo[a]pyrene, indeno[1,2,3-cd]pyrene, dibenz[a,h]anthracene, benzo[g,h, i]perylene, 1-methylnaphthalene, and 2-methylnaphthalene. These compounds are commonly found in materials such as charcoal, crude oil, wood tar, natural tar, pharmaceuticals, dyes, plastics, rubber, synthetic pesticides, lubricants, mold release agents, capacitor electrolytes, mineral oils, synthetic asphalt, insecticides, fungicides, mosquito coils, tobacco smoke, and synthetic gasoline additives.

•  Asbestos: A naturally occurring fibrous silicate mineral valued for its strength and thermal resistance. Due to serious health risks associated with inhalation, asbestos is strictly regulated in manufacturing and construction.

•  ELV (End-of-Life Vehicles Directive)Directive 2000/53/EC, established by the European Union, aims to reduce the environmental impact of end-of-life vehicles. Chips and components used in automotive systems are required to comply with ELV regulations if they are part of a vehicle system, particularly concerning hazardous substance restrictions aligned with the RoHS directive.
