At the China EV100 Forum 2024, held from March 15th to 17th at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing, Geehy's General Manager, Jason Wang, and Vice General Manager, Hans Zeng, actively engaged in key discussions and events. Jason joined the Forum Council's special meeting and closed-door seminar, focusing on crucial policies shaping the Chinese automobile industry's future.
Hans delivered a compelling keynote speech titled "Geehy Safety Core: Leading Intelligent Chip Solutions for the Industry" during the "Intelligent Automobile Innovation Technology and Industry Forum" on March 17th.
Empowering Technology for Accelerated Intelligent Driving Development
Intelligent driving is pivotal for the automotive industry's future, offering enhanced user experiences and diverse functional capabilities. Yole Intelligence forecasts significant growth in the automotive semiconductor market, projected to reach $80.7 billion by 2027 with an annual growth rate of 11.1%. Geehy strategically focuses on three core product lines: general/specialized MCUs, specialized sensors, and drive control ICs.
In 2023, Geehy introduced the domestic first GURC01 series ultrasonic sensor and signal processor, meeting the AEC-Q100 Grade 2 automotive reliability standard. This product excels in performance, precision, compactness, integrated algorithms, and anti-interference capabilities, validated by multiple OEMs.
The same year saw the launch of the general-purpose automotive MCU G32A1445, leveraging 40nm advanced process technology and complying with ISO 26262 ASIL-B level. It offers a mature software ecosystem with MCAL-compliant AUTOSAR standards, SDK development kits, and mainstream protocol stacks. Supported by IDEs like KEIL and IAR, this MCU simplifies design processes and enhances cost-effectiveness, serving diverse applications in EV charging stations, BMS, intelligent cabins, OBCs, HVAC systems, and more. Geehy's collaborations with domestic OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers ensure continuous product refinement and validation.
As intelligent automotive technology advances, car lighting has transformed from basic upgrades to advanced products that integrate safety lighting, smart driving aids, entertainment interaction, and practical experiences. Geehy is set to introduce its first LED matrix controller GALT61120 for car headlamps. This versatile chip is ideal for various uses such as automotive headlamp systems, high-brightness LED matrix systems, ADB/glare-free high beam lights, and animated daytime running lights.
Value Proposition: Performance, Reliability, and Quality
In a media interview at the conference, Hans highlighted the importance of safety and reliable quality in automotive-grade chip products, stating, "Automotive chips, part of a relatively traditional industry, prioritize these aspects." Geehy has introduced 11 automotive-grade MCUs with a total of 13 AEC-Q100 Grade 1/Grade 2 certificates, with an annual shipment volume exceeding 8 million units. These MCUs are widely adopted in critical areas such as vehicle body control, infotainment systems, safety systems, and power systems.
Looking forward, Hans reaffirmed Geehy’s commitment to innovation in automotive electronics, aiming to offer ISO 26262-compliant electronic chips and solutions. Collaborating closely with automotive system suppliers, Geehy continues to advance automotive intelligence, ensuring stability and reliability in driving experiences.
At the forum exhibition, Geehy presented its latest automotive products and demo solutions, including:
- GURC01 ultrasonic sensor and signal processors
- G32A1445 automotive general-purpose MCUs
- GALT61120 automotive headlamp LED matrix controllers
